Funds Recovery Portal

Archetyp Funds Recovery Portal: Official Information

To all Archetyp Members,
As you are aware, our servers have been seized by law enforcement. However, from the very beginning, Archetyp's administration, led by the Big Boss, planned for this exact contingency. Your funds were never stored in a simple, centralized wallet that could be easily confiscated. We are writing to you now from our secure backup infrastructure to guide you through the fund recovery process.

The Situation: The Multi-Sig Contingency Plan

The Big Boss implemented a decentralized, 2-of-2 Monero multi-signature system. This means:

  • Your Funds are Segregated: Every user's funds were held in a unique multi-sig address that required two keys to access: one derived from your account activity and one held by us.
  • Seizure-Proof by Design: During the raid, the primary server's wallet keys were designed to self-destruct, rendering the confiscated wallet useless to authorities. They seized an empty, inaccessible box.
  • Secure Backup Activated: Simultaneously, the backup co-signing keys were activated on a secure, hidden service under the exclusive control of the remaining moderators.

Your funds are safe, but they are locked. To unlock them, we must combine our backup key with your proof of ownership. This portal is the automated system designed to do just that.

How the Recovery Process Works (A Step-by-Step Guide)

The portal guides you through a three-step process to cryptographically prove ownership and reclaim your balance.

Step 1: Provide Proof of Ownership

This is the most critical step. To link you to your specific funds within our multi-sig backup, you must provide details from your last transaction sent to your Archetyp deposit address. This includes the Transaction ID (TxID), Transaction Key (TxKey), and the Block Height. Once you enter this information below and click "Verify and Recover Funds," you will proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Automated Verification & Reconstruction

This step is fully automated. The system will connect to the Monero network, use your provided details to verify ownership, and construct a recovery transaction. The log will show a `[PENDING]` status, meaning the transaction is ready but needs a network fee to be broadcast.

Step 3: Network Fee & Final Payout

To complete the recovery, you must pay a small network fee to broadcast the transaction. The system will provide a new address for this fee. As soon as the fee is paid, your original balance will be automatically sent to the wallet you specify. This fee is not for us; it is a mandatory cost of using the Monero network.

We built Archetyp on the principles of security and trust. Even in shutdown, we uphold that promise. Follow these steps carefully, and you will have your funds back.

Stay safe.

How to Find Your Details (Monero GUI)
  1. Go to the 'Transactions' Tab: In your wallet, select the 'Transactions' tab from the left-hand menu.
  2. Select the Transaction: Click on your last deposit to Archetyp. This will expand to show its details, as seen in the example image.
  3. Copy 'Transaction ID': This long string of characters is your TxID. Copy it and paste it into the first field below.
  4. Copy 'Transaction key': Right below the ID, click on '(Click to reveal)' to show the key. Copy this and paste it into the second field.
  5. Copy 'Blockheight': Find this number in the details and enter it into the final field.

Finding Your Transaction Key (TxKey)

The Transaction Key (also called a transaction proof) is a unique string of characters that proves you sent a specific Monero transaction. You can find this in your wallet's transaction history.

Monero GUI: Go to the 'History' tab, click on the relevant transaction, and click 'Details' to find the 'Tx key / proof'.
Monero CLI: Use the `get_tx_key` command followed by the Transaction ID.
